Pesavento Mattioli et Sutto 2012 : « Si tratta di un peso in bronzo a forma appunto di recipiente emisferico, con base piana decorata a cerchi concentrici rilevati e orlo scanalato; l’altezza è di cm 2,4, il diametro superiore di 5,6, il peso (prima del restauro, tuttora in corso) di gr. 106,8. Sulla parete esterna compare l’iscrizione ageminata in argento (lettere alte cm 0,6) EXA : : CAS, integrabile come exa(ctum) (triens) (ad) Cas(toris aedem). »
