Archaeological description
Auction Archaeological Center 2007: Palestine, Anonymous (Southern Palestinian?). A Roman Period square lead weight with high border, 104.80 gr. 4.7×4.7 cm., 0.6 cm. thick. The Greek inscription reads: ΟΥΝ|ΚΙΑΙ | Δ “4 Ounces”. The reverse is blank. In good condition. (A. Spaer coll. no. W-57). Unpublished.
Vandermeiren: Poids de forme carrée, aux bords en relief, dépassants. Inscription centrée sur avers ΟΥΝ/ΚΙΑΙ/Δ, lettres réparties en trois lignes, disposition centrée. Lettres relativement hautes, régulièrement espacées. Plusieurs accidents ont touché le bord de l’objet. Pas de poignée ni de contremarque. Photo du revers pas disponible.
