British Museum: Object Type: weight. Museum number: 1980,0601.222. Description: Discoid, with a small convex rim on the face and base; struck on the obverse with three imperial busts, the one on the left slightly smaller, all diademed and wearing paludamenta fastened by cross-bow fibulae on the left shoulder; around the top edge, partly obscured by a flat circular projection: DDD///NCCC (D[ominorum] N [ostrorum] [AV]C[Augu[s]torum]); reverse: the draped figure of Moneta, standing to left, and holding a cornucopia and a balance, the latter partly obscured by a sub-ovoid projection; around the edge: EXACIVM SOLIDI; beneath an exergual line: a wreath flanked by two palm branches; slightly worn and patinated. Cultures/periods: Late Roman (East Roman Empire). Early Byzantine. Production date: 4thC-5thC (late 4thC ? early 5thC ?) (late 4thC ? early 5thC ?). Materials: copper alloy (Copper).
