Description: Copper alloy weight; Discoid; struck on the obverse with three frontal imperial busts, the central one smallest, all diademed and wearing paludamenta; in the field above, a T-shaped motif; around the top edge: DDDNNNAAVVVCCC (D[ominorum] N[ostrorum] Aug[ustorum]); reverse: the draped figure of Moneta, standing to left, and holding a cornucopia and a balance; in the field to right, an eight-pointed star; around the edge: E[X]AC SOL SVB V INL IOANNI COM SL (E[x]ag[ium] sol[idi] sub v[iro] inl[ustri] Io[h]anni com[ite] s[acrarum] l[argitionum]); beneath an exergual line: CONS (Cons[tantinopolis]); the inscriptions on both sides rather indistinct; worn and patinated.
