Archaeological description
Autoptic examination:
Lead weight; thick square shape. Signs of wear and corrosion: chippings; hollows on the reverse. Straight corners, edges and sides. On the obverse, light frame and depiction of a dolphin towards the right in relief. The dolphin has one dorsal and one ventral fin (and two smaller?) and his beak points to the upper right corner. Within his tail, a crescent (or double-forked tail?). On the left edge, letters in relief: MN and A on the right edge, below the dolphin.
British Museum: Lead weight; raised border; representation of a dolphin; crescent within tail; Greek inscription "MNA".
