Archaeological description
Autoptic examination:
Lead weight; square shape. Signs of wear and corrosion: chippings. On the reverse, light cuts; the lower left edge and the upper right are flattened (irregular square). Small stroke on the right side. Rounded corners and straight edges. On the obverse, retrograd inscription in relief in the corners: ΔΕΜΟ. In the center, square countermark a bit awry with a faced head owl and letter A on the upper left side.
British Museum: Lead weight with Greek inscription "DEMO" and square countermark.
