Comments on Chronology
Seyrig 1950a: Year 44 of the metropolis of Laodicea [i.e. 194 CE] = 237/238 CE. But the weight MAH (Geneva), n° CdN 2017-20, shows that Year 253 of the Caesarian Era = Year 9 of the Colony = Year 13 of the Metropolis = 205/206 CE, so that Year 44 of the metropolis of Laodicea should be 236/237 CE. According to Seyrig’ archives, Year 44 of the metropolis = 240/241 CE (confusion with the colonial era?).
