Archaeological description
Roman basalt weight in the shape of truncated sphere. The value mark S II is incised on the side of the object, rather than on one base, and it possibly indicates the denomination of two Librae and one Semis - nearly one Uncia lighter than the actual weight. It is worn and presents abrasions on both bases. Diameter of upper base: 5.8 cm; lower base: 6.4 cm.
