Archaeological description
Gatier 1986: Poids carré, 50 mm; bordure saillante; tranche ornée d’un rang de demi-cercles. Poids: 136,8 g. Épaisseur: 5 mm; lettres: 3–4 mm. Droit: Représentation d’Hermès debout, déhanché, la jambe gauche en arrière; le bras gauche sur lequel est passé un court manteau porte le caducée; la main droite tient une bourse; le visage et le corps sont vus de profil gauche. Inscription: Λαοδικ[έ]ων | τῶν π[ρὸς] | θαλά[σσ]η̣ι, | ζ[.] ἐπὶ | Ζωίλου, | τέταρτον. “De Laodicée-sur-mer, en … sept, sous Zoilos; quart.” Revers losangé.

Seleucid Era [1.]7? = [20]6/5–[11]6/5 BCE? Similarities with the weight Seyrig 1946–48, n° I.C.1, suggest the mid-second century BCE (Gatier 1986).
