Archaeological description
Square weight. 5.2×5.6×0.4 cm. Obverse: Frame. Trident. Inscription: Ἀντιόχειον | ϛ̣μ–ρ´ | ἐπὶ | Ἀντι–πάτρο̣υ̣ | ὄγδουν. Reverse: smooth surface.
Archives Seyrig (HS 326): Plomb, carré, 54 mm. Bordure saillante simple. 64 g. Trident. Revers losangé. Ἀντιόχειον | ὄγδουν. Dans le champ: ε?μρ´ | ἐπὶ | Ἀντιπάτρου. Le chiffre des unités est formé comme un Ϛ, dans lequel flotte une petite barre horizontale détachée du corps de la lettre, ce qui n’est pas normal pour l’epsilon à cette époque. Comme <https://pondera.uclouvain.be/artifact/3573/>, clairement noté ϚΜΠ, et signé par un certain Ἀντίπ., probablement identique à notre Antipatros, il se peut que la petite barre, sur notre poids, soit accidentelle, et que la date doive se lire ϛμρ´ comme sur <https://pondera.uclouvain.be/artifact/3573/>. Date: an 145? = 168/167 av. J.-C. Commerce à Beyrouth.
