Archaeological description
Autoptic examination: Bronze weight, square shape. Signs of wear and corrosion: chippings; light strokes on the crescent, on the lower right corner and on the sides; the lower side is drilled with a clip folded on the reverse; grey bumps around the clip; the lower side is cut, net tranche with striations; light hollows and horizontal cuts. Very slightly rounded corners; straight edges and sides; the reverse is plane. On the obverse, depiction of a half-crescent in relief. On the four corners, letters in relief: ΔΗΜΟ. On the right of the crescent, round countermark with an owl in relief. On the right of the owl, letters in relief: ΑΘΕ? [On the crescent, another countermark with the letter A in relief (uncertain)]
