Auction Roma: Seleukid Empire, Rectangular PB Mina Weight. Antioch(?), 2nd century BC. Indian elephant advancing right, Ρ beneath; all within ornate border / Blank. For similar weight type with elephant cf. J. Forien de Rochesnard, Album des poids antiques 2, La Grèce Antique, p. 57; for weight standard cf. idem, p. 58. 502.28g, 97mm. Very Fine.
The letter Ρ can be read between the legs; on the upper left, there is probably another letter (maybe Κ? or Ι, Ϙ?), as well as on the upper right (maybe Ε? or Γ, Ϛ?)
