Archaeological description
Square bronze weight measuring 37x36x7 mm and weighing 80,8 grammes ; slightly rounded corners ; little worn and corroded. On the obverse, lion (to the left) with raised right paw ; engraved KYZI under the plateform. The lion and the plateform are in relief. Three small notches on the upper right. The reverse is flat and blank ; small notch on the upper left. Small bump on the inferior left of the left side. Height without relief: 0,7 cm.
Tekin 2013b: This almost square weight of bronze (brass appearance or with high copper content) measures 36 x 35 x 7 mm and weighs 80.8 g; patinated. On the obverse is a male lion in relief advancing left on ground; raised his right leg. Below the ground (rahter a platform in relief) reads KYZI which stands for Κυζικηνῶν. The legend engraved on surface is not so deep. Although there is no indication for its denomination its mass corresponds to hektemorion, i.e. one sixth of a mna (mna of 485.28 g). The reverse and profile edges of the weight are blank.

Comments on Chronology
Tekin 2013b: May be dated to the 4th-1st centuries B.C. But we have to consider that some weights of Cyzicus may be dated to the Roman Imperial Period, at least to the A.D. 1st century.

Additional comment
Mint: Cyzicus ? (Tekin 2013b).
It is probably a fake weight.
