Archaeological description
Square lead weight (concave) ; worn and corroded ; the corners are rounded ; the inferior right corner is more damaged than the rest. A torch stands between the ethnic (KYZ) and the denomination (HMI). There is a spiral motif on each side of the torch. The upper inscription is more lisible than the inferior one. The symbol and the inscriptions are in relief. The reverse is flat and blank (inferior left corner slightly damaged). Height without relief: 0,4 cm.
Tekin 2013b: This is a lead square weight measuring 63 x 62 x 6 mm and weighing 234.8 g; with rounded corners; worn and corroded. On the obverse is a torch to left; above it reads ΚΥΖ(ικηνῶν) and below ΗΜΙ which stands for hemimnaion; all in relief. On the body of torch there is a curl motif at each side. The denomination of the weight is hemimna (mna of 469.6 g). The reverse of the weight is blank.

Comments on Chronology
Tekin 2013b: May be dated to the 4th-1st centuries B.C. But we have to consider that some weights of Cyzicus may be dated to the Roman Imperial Period, at least to the A.D. 1st century.
