Archaeological description
Square lead weight, little worn and mostly corroded on the corners. The corners are rounded and the edges, slightly raised. A torch stands between the ethnic (ΚΥΖ[Ι]) and the denomination (MNA). There are two spiral motifs on each side of the torch.The symbol and the inscriptions are in relief. The reverse is flat and blank (small strokes). Height without relief: 1 cm.
Tekin 2013b: This is a lead weight with rounded corners and slightly raised edges; worn and patinated. It measures 82 x 80 x 75 x 7 mm and weighs 493.7 g. On the obverse is a torch to left; on the body of the torch there are spirals motifs on each side. Above it reads ΚΥΖ[Ι](κηνῶν) while it reads ΜΝΑ(ιον) at below. All are in relief. Its mass corresponds to its denomination (mnaion). The reverse is blank.

Comments on Chronology
Tekin 2013b: May be dated to the 4th-1st centuries B.C. But we have to consider that some weights of Cyzicus may be dated to the Roman Imperial Period, at least to the A.D. 1st century.
