Archaeological description
Square lead weight with rounded corners, slightly concave ; little worn and corroded (mostly on the upper left corner and the inferior right corner). A caduceus stands between the ethnic (KYSI) and the denomination (CΤΑ). The reverse is flat and blank.
Tekin 2013b: Square lead weight with slightly rounded corners and slightly raised edges; measuring 32 x 29 x 3 mm and weighing 26.4 g; worn. On the obverse is a winged caduceus to right; above, ΚΥΖΙ(κηνῶν); below, CΤΑ(τηρον); all in relief. It is a stateron in unit. The reverse of the weight is blank.

Tekin 2013b: Late Hellenistic, 2nd–1st centuries B.C. But we have to consider that some weights of Cyzicus may be dated to the Roman Imperial Period, at least to the A.D. 1st century.
