Archaeological description
Tekin 2013e: This lead weight is rectangular or rather trapezoid in form. It measures 66 x 53 x 49 x 9 mm and weighs 280.87 g. On the top, there is a fish to left but it is quite simplistic and curious in manner; it may be a tuna fish or rather a dolphin since it has a large body. Below, it reads HMI written from right to left, which stands for hemimnaion. Fish and denominational abbreviation are both in relief. Since there is no ethnic on the weight it is hard to make a clear attribution of it. But regarding the type (i.e. fish or tuna fish, the badge of Cyzicus) it may be attributed to Cyzicus. It is a hemimnaion in unit (mna of 561.74 g). Bottom is blank. Worn. Find place unknown.
