Archaeological description
Forma sferoidale con poli appiattiti e facce liscie. Quella piana superiore, segnata al centro da un punto circoscritto da un cerchio, reca inciso l'indice di valore in lettere e numerali latini: VN(CIAS) III, tre once pari a grammi 81. Il contrappeso, realizzato per fusione, presenta una cavità interna che doveva essere originariamente riempita con della zavorra di 42 grammi indispensabile per parificare il peso reale con il peso indicato dal numerale (Cavada et al. 1993).
