Archaeological description
Peso in pietra calcarea. Il peso rinvenuto all'interno dell US 123 (h 20 cm; diam. faccia superiore 24, inferiore 21; diam. massimo 32; peso 31.5 kg) appartiene al tipo a sfera decalottata; presenta facce piane non coestese e profilo asimmetrico, con diametro maggiore prossimo alla faccia superiore. Su di questa erano inseriti due anelli in ferro a sezione tonda, ancorati a due colature in piombo di forma circolare; un anello è mancante ed osservabile solamente in tracce nei punti di rottura. [...] Nello spazio compreso tra i due anelli, due depressioni potrebbero indiziare una leggera taratura (Restano 2009, p. 173).

Comments on Chronology
The Roman settlement is dated to 1st -5th cent. AD. The weight was found in Area B, which is said to belong to a subsequent phase ("in un periodo successivo", Gambani et al. 2009, p. 172).
