Archaeological description
Robinson 1941: Very large, so perhaps a base or merely a convenient form in which to keep lead. This and the next two [Robinson 1941, nos. 2466–2468] and others [Robinson 1941, no. 2469–2472?] are scarcely more than a puddle of lead, roughly circular, which, poured out on a flat surface, have hardened. The shape is that of extremely thin mushrooms. This is probably not a weight at all but it seemed appropriate to include them here, as other scholars may be able to draw conclusions from their weights.
