Archaeological description
Lead weight measuring 34x35x26 mm and weighing 178,6 gramme ; worn and very worroded. The obverse is damaged : multiple major notches. The borders on the reverse are irregular. IIn the middle, little hollowed mark (hole?) Notches on the sides. +++
Robinson 1941: Inv. 31.652. Lead weight. Dm. 0.038 m., Th.0.026 m., Weight 179 grammes. The center of the top is split in several directions and has an irregular hole, from which probably a handle has been jerked out. This and the next two [Robinson 1941, nos. 2466–2468] and others [Robinson 1941, no. 2469–2472?] are scarcely more than a puddle of lead, roughly circular, which, poured out on a flat surface, have hardened. The shape is that of extremely thin mushrooms. This is probably not a weight at all but it seemed appropriate to include them here, as other scholars may be able to draw conclusions from their weights. Exact provenience unknown.
