Archaeological description
Circular lead weight measuring 53x51x8 mm and weighing 101,4 grammes ; extremely worn and corroded. Convex on the obverse ; very worroded on the inferior part. The reverse has irregular borders and notches and bumps on the right part. No symbol and no inscription.
Robinson 1941: Inv. 31.333. Lead weight. Dm. 0.055 m., Th. 0.009 m., Weight 101 grammes. Top convex; hase fiat. This and the next two [Robinson 1941, nos. 2466–2468] and others [Robinson 1941, no. 2469–2472?] are scarcely more than a puddle of lead, roughly circular, which, poured out on a flat surface, have hardened. The shape is that of extremely thin mushrooms. This is probably not a weight at all but it seemed appropriate to include them here, as other scholars may be able to draw conclusions from their weights.
