Archaeological description
Circular lead weight measuring 44/45x43/44x13 mm and weighing 142,2 grammes ; worn and corroded ; convex. On the obverse, incised ΤΡΙ in the middle ; notch on the upper part of the letters ΤΡ ; the inferior right corner is damaged. The reverse has slightly raised edges ; quite flat.
Robinson 1941: Inv. 31.334. Lead weight. Dm. 0.041 m. to 0.043 m., Th. 0.013 m., \Veight 142 grammes. Circular. Obverse roughly spherical. The reverse is flat. The transition from the spherical to the flat surface is made by a rough band (0.003 m. to 0.006 m. wide). In the center of the obverse cut in fairly irregular lines are the unique letters in ligature ΤΡΙ = τρι(τημόριον), since the weight is about one-third of the mina which would be ca. 426 grammes.
