Archaeological description
CPAI III/1: Square in form. On the obverse, Dionysus? seated on panther to right; behind him, i.e. on the back of panther, is a bull’s head and between the horns is a globe; all within an oval stamp. Circular grooved punchmarks on the corners. The reverse is blank. Its mass corresponds to an ogdoon, i.e. one-eighth of a mna (411.2 g) or hemisyhemitetarton, i.e. one-sixteenth of a stater (stater of 822.4 g).
