Additional comment
RIB II: The object is 20.6 gm underweight (6.29%) [18.65 gm underweight, 5.73%], but is only 2.15 gm (0.69%) underweight for the supposed Celtic pound of 309 gm (see Introduction, p.2, and RIB 2412.96). Part of a group of sixteen lead weights (Nos. 21-24, 26-35) and one (No. 25) of bronze, from a collection of thirty-two (the remainder being either uninscribed or carrying random marks). The weight-value is taken from Conway. An exceptional proportion is overweight.
