RIB II: Support: Type of object: Biconical weight. Material: Lead. Dimensions: maximum diameter 34 mm (face 26.5 mm), 21 mm high, Weight 135.9 gm. Condition: It is rather damaged and pitted with corrosion. Site: Dalginross. Find context: Found by metal-detector, with a Flavian harness junction (phalera), but not itself datable. Find date: 2007. Modern location: Now in the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh. Institution: National Museum of Scotland: inv. no. unknown. Text field: Placement of text: On one face. Manner of execution: Punched. Style of lettering: In capital letters. Letter heights: (not specified).

RIB II: Fraser Hunter, of the National Museums of Scotland, Edinburgh, sent full details. For this quincunx, compare RIB II.2, 2412.78 (bronze weight from Colchester). Three ounces would be only 81.9 gm, whereas five would be 136.4 gm, almost exactly the actual weight.
