Archaeological description
CPAI III/2: Made from a Byzantine coin of Alexius I Comnenus (1081-1118). Octogonal in form. On the obverse, crowned facing bust of the emperor, holding cruciform scepter and globus cruciger; on the reverse is a cross and C-Φ-M-Δ in angles. It may be a tremissis (nomisma of 3.75 g).
