Archaeological description
CPAI III/2: Square in form with plain profile. On the top, silver-inlaid christogram; the bottom is blank. Its mass corresponds to a two-nomismata. Christogram may refer to 1.5 nomismata or one-sicilius (4.50 + 2.25 = 6.75 g). According to the known examples, the units are: A = 6.75 g, B = 13.60 g, K= 20.25 g, Γ = 27.00 and L= 33.75 g. Since the mass of the current weight is low, it is not certain that it is a 1.5 nomismata; its mass corresponds to a two-nomismata. But, it should be noted that the unit of 1.5 nomismata is not correct in every case and this matter need a further study.
