Archaeological description
Auction Concordia 2025: PB Thracian Chersonese, Lysimachia. Tetarton weight. Hellenistic to Roman Imperial Period. A square lead weight with rounded corners. On the obverse there is a lion protome jumping right, in relief. On the corners, from the top left, Λ-Υ-Σ-Ι. Below the belly of lion is a Τ which stands for tetarton. The reverse is blank. Cf. Tekin 2018, p. 109, no. 48. Weight: 164.22 g. Diameter: 39.87 mm.
