Archaeological description
Tekin 2024: Tremissis. Glass, 1.50 g, 16x2 mm. Inv. no. 244.9.23. Find place: Ephesus excavation, EDP23-1001-1222. Dark green, discoid in form with raised rim. On the obverse, facing bust of eparch, legend illegible; all in relief. It is a tremissis in unit (1/3-nomisma, nomisma of 4.5 g). The reverse is plain. It dates to the 5th-7th centuries AD.
