Archaeological description
Tekin 2024: Three-Gramma? AE 2.05 g, 10x11x2 mm. Inv. no. 6.67.92. Find place: Torbalı-Metropolis. Acquired in 1992. Copper alloy weight, square in form. Engraved on the top with an odd Γ which may stand for three grammata (gramma of 0.68 g) but its mass is too low for this unit, so the unit is not certain. The bottom is blank but soldered with lead. It dates to the 4th-6th centuries AD.
