Archaeological description
Tekin 2024: One-Uncia. Pb 27.20 g, 24x27x6 mm. Inv. no. 12.10.99. Find place: in the vicinity of Ephesus. Acquired in 1999. Lead weight, square in form with raised and beveled edges; handle at the bottom. On the obverse, an odd “A” or worn B in relief which stands for “one” or “two”. Its weight corresponds with one-uncia. On the reverse, a quarter part of a circle or wreath is visible. It dates to the 1st – 3rd centuries AD.
