Archaeological description
Tekin 2022: The one in the private collection [Fig. 5] weighs 162.4 g and measures 38 × 42 mm. It bears a double axe in a diagonal position on its face but without an ethnic. Its mass indicates that it is a trite in unit. If we multiply it by three we get 487.2 g. This weight may therefore be dated to the late 2nd century or to the 1st century BCE.

Additional comment
Tekin 2022: These two weights with a double axe but without an ethnic should therefore be attributed to a Carian city such as Mylasa or Euromos. The second example may be attributed to Mylasa because it was found in Labraunda, a sacred site connected to Mylasa. It may be dated to the 3rd/2nd century BCE.
