Archaeological description
CPAI III/1 : Roughly square in form with rounded corners; worn and much corroded. On the obverse, bee above Τ(έταρτον); all in relief. To left below, there is a circular punchmark. The reverse is blank. Since the bee is the civic badge of Ephesus, the weight may be attributed to that city. It is a tetarton, i.e. one-fourth of a mna (mna of 495.2 g).
