Archaeological description
CPAI III/1 : Square in form with rounded corners; incisions on face and on right edge; worn and corroded. On the obverse, bee above large Η(μι) which stands for half. The reverse is blank. Since the bee is the civic badge (parasemon) of Ephesus, this weight may be attributed to that city. Its mass corresponds to a hemimnaion (mna of 474.2 g).
