Archaeological description
A. Pugliese : « Roman basalt weight in the shape of a truncated sphere ; black colour, not polished. It shows signs of corrosion on the entire surface and the stone is damaged on the upper base, where a layer has come off in the centre and there is a crack along the edge. The diameter of the sphere is 9.1 cm ; the diameter of the upper base is 5.5 cm and that of the lower base is 5.6 cm. »

A. Pugliese suggère de voir trois lignes en pointillés sur la face supérieure, ce qui correspond bien à la masse de trois librae. Cependant, le poids est parsemé de pointillés et, s’il y a une inscription, plusieurs restitutions sont de facto possibles. Le numéro d’inventaire semble commencer par 74 et se finir par 00.
