Archaeological description
A. Pugliese : « Lead weight in the shape of parallelepiped with decorated bronze handle. It is extremely worn and corroded ; the surface presents numerous incrustations and dents, and is particularly dusty ; two large “XX” are scratched on the top of the object by the handle, indicating the denomination of 20 Libras. The handle is joined to the base through bronze rings and it was movable ; however, it has now become attached to the base. The height of the handle 3.5 cm. »

A. Pugliese : « The weight was not measured with a precision scale ; hence, a margin of variation of 100g must be allowed. When I found it, it was covered in cms of dust – I tried to clean it as well as I could. »
