Archaeological description
A. Pugliese : « Lead weight in the shape of parallelepiped with iron handle. It is extremely worn and corroded ; the surface presents numerous incrustations and is particularly dusty ; a large “X” is scratched on the top of the object in front of the handle, indicating the denomination of 10 Libras. The height of the weight is 4.8 cm, or 7.08 cm including the handle. »

A. Pugliese : « The weight was not measured with a precision scale ; hence, a margin of variation of 100g must be allowed. When I found it, it was covered in cms of dust – I tried to clean it as well as I could. »
