Archaeological description
A. Pugliese : « Roman basalt weight in the shape of a truncated sphere ; black colour with green veins, well-polished. It is in good conditions, except for some scratches on both bases. In the centre of the upper base, there are incised dots (four dots are clearly visible ; perhaps there were more, but the surface is too worn to allow a precise assessment). The diameter of the sphere is 9.68 cm ; the diameter of the upper base is 5.72 cm and that of the lower base is 6.2 cm. »
