Archaeological description
A. Pugliese : « Roman basalt weight in the shape of a truncated sphere ; black colour, well-polished. It is in very good conditions, except for two minor scratches on the edge of the bases and a crack along the round side ; the edges of the bases are very well defined. In the centre of the upper base, there are incised dots, arranged to form two lines ; they indicate the denomination of two Libras. The diameter of the sphere is 8.1 cm ; the diameter of the upper base is 5.5 cm and that of the lower base is 5.65 cm. »
