Archaeological description
A. Pugliese : « Roman basalt weight in the shape of a truncated sphere ; black colour, well-polished. It shows signs of wear, with scratches and small dents along the round side and on the bases ; little corrosion as well on the bases. In the centre of one base, there are four incised dots, arranged to form a line; they indicate the denomination of one Libra. The diameter of the sphere is 6.15 cm ; the diameter of both bases is 3.6 cm. »
