Archaeological description
A. Pugliese : « Roman basalt weight in the shape of a truncated sphere ; black colour with green veins. It shows signs of wear, with superficial scratches and dents ; the edges of both bases are damaged. On the lower base, seven incised dots form an “S”, indicating the denomination of one Semis (half Libra). The diameter of the sphere is 4.8 cm ; the diameter of the upper base is 2.62 cm and that of the lower base is 2.9 cm. »
