Archaeological description
A. Pugliese : « Roman bronze weight in the shape of a truncated double cone. The piece shows some signs of wear and corrosion, with green patina and coarse surface particularly on the lower base. The letter “S” (in different metal) is inserted in the centre of the upper base and indicates the denomination - a Semis, corresponding to half Libra. The diameter of the object is 3.4 cm ; the diameter of the upper base is 3.05 cm and that of the lower base is 3.19 cm. »
