Archaeological description
Archives Seyrig (HS 334): Type: poids carrés ou légèrement allongés, munis d’une petite anse, souvent disparue, ou d’un tenon. La bordure est un peu saillante, doublée d’un rang d’oves vers l’intérieur, et d’un décor de triangles à l’extérieur. Le revers est toujours losangé, et porte, dans certaines catégories, le symbole {signe de Tanit}, distinct du symbole précédent par un détail, intentionnel ou non : les «bras» du symbole sont droits, au lieu de se retourner perpendiculairement vers le haut. 4e type: les lettres ΙΒ. Ces poids portent invariablement le symbole {signe de Tanit} au revers. Leur type est constitué par les lettres L IB, qui semblent être toujours le fruit d’une surcharge, comme précédemment. Dimensions: 27 mm. × 30 mm. 19a. Poids: 55 g. L’inscription, fruste, n’a laissé de trace que de sa première lettre, qui est un P; par sa forme, son décor, sa pesée, ce poids est identique aux précédents. Musée de Beyrouth.
