Archaeological description
CPAI II : Square in form with rounded corners. On the face, engraved Δ (and near the edge is a vertical incised line, may be 11 drachm ?); bottom is blank. Δ on the face may refer to denomination name; although the mass is lower for Euboic-Attic drachm, it corresponds to Chian-Rhodian drachm and it may be a dekadrachmon (drachm of 3.48 g × 10). But the letters on the weights, like Δ, does not refer always to denomination; for example, a lead weight with an engraved Δ on the obverse from the Athenian Agora weighs 166 g (in this case Δ may refer to demosion).
