Archaeological description
CPAI II : Square in form; in center, a circular stamp in which a star of eighteen rays; bottom is blank. The star may indicate a Macedonian origin of the weight but the Macedonian star has generally less rays than this one (i.e. eight or sixteen rays). Its mass corresponds to a tetradrachm (or to a stater of four drachms).
