Archaeological description
Auction Concordia 2023a: AE Eastern Mediterranean/Aegean. Coin weight. Three-nomismata (5th-6th century AD) Square in form with double-grooved profile and raised face; engraved on the top with a rectangular plinth supporting two spiral columns on which rests an arch formed by two semi-circle wreaths; within the arch, across above the denominational mark N Γ. The bottom is blank. It is a three-nomismata. Cf. Bertolami 93, 1043 and CPAI 3.2, 227 (but two nomismata). Weight: 12.97 g. Diameter: 19.51 mm.
