Archaeological description
Autoptic examination;
Lead weight; square shape. Signs of wear and corrosion: chippings;on the reverse, lumps, hollows and important strokes; rounded cuts on the obverse. Straight corners and edges. On the obverse, light frame and depiction in relief: half-crescent (with only the outlines in relief) and a pentagram (5 branches star) on the left. Around, in the corners, letters in relief: ΔΗΜΟ.
Amandry 1993:
Huitième de mine. Poids carré en plomb. 57,57 g ; L. 0,025. Inv. Bar. 1889-21. Sur l’une des faces, un demi-croissant avec une étoile à 5 branches. Autour, légende ΔΗΜΟ (δημόσιον).
