Archaeological description
Autoptic examination;
Lead weight; square shape. Signs of wear and corrosion: little chippings and holes (big one on the tortoise). Rounded corners; straight edges. On the obverse, very light frame and depiction of an half-tortoise in relief partly erased. In the corners, letters in relief partly erased: ΔΗΜΟ. Below the tortoise, a pentagram (star) in relief.

Huitième de mine. Poids carré en plomb. 121,07 g ; L. 0,036. inv. Bar. 1889-3. Sur l’une des faces, une demi-tortue. Autour, légende ΔΗΜΟ (δημόσιον). Au pourtour, un léger rebord.
