Archaeological description
Auction Archaeological Center 2007: Palestine (?), A Hellenistic Period square lead weight with high border, 66.0 gr., 4.0×4.2 cm., 6.3 mm. thick. In the center, an eagle standing to r. is depicted. The reverse has a network pattern. The partly preserved Greek inscription reads: LΘΝΡ ΑΓΟ/ΡΑΝΟΜΟΥ / ΥΝΤ[ ... ]. Year 159 = 154/3 BC, during the reign of Demetrius I, 162-150 BC. In good condition.
